Beauty, MakeupFace Powder by Shu Uemura

Although this product has mixed reviews, I am one of those people who actually likes the Shu Uemura Face Powder very much. For those of you with oily or combination skin, you know that makeup has a tendency to melt off your face. Well, this loose powder will help!

The Shu Uemura Face Powder promises to give “a soft-focus effect and leaves skin shine-free.” The first thing to notice is the net-like cover over the loose powder, designed to prevent too much powder from spilling out. READ MORE

Media & PressBecause I Said So

I know, I know…I’m about to write about another piece of film fluff, but I love these feel good movies. Because I Said So is a film about an overprotective mother who is approaching her 60th birthday…and for her special day, she tries to set up her youngest daughter with the perfect man, in an attempt to steer her clear from the mistakes that she’s made in the past. She does everything from staging interventions to online personal ads. In other words, good intentions that likely result in a little disaster and a lot of comedic romance. All in the name of love, right?

Because I Said So features a great cast of actors including Diane Keaton, Mandy Moore, Lauren Graham, Piper Perabo, Tom Everett Scott, Gabriel Macht, Stephen Collins and others. I adore Lauren Graham and Mandy Moore…and I just think Diane Keaton is spectacular and has aged so gracefully. This movie is set for release February 2, 2007 and I’ll definitely be checking it out. In the meantime, visit the website to find out more and view the trailer.

Hi all, I’m off for a week-long winter getaway, but don’t worry…I’ve been working really hard during the past two weeks and there are posts scheduled to go up every day while I’m gone. However, emails will most likely have to wait until my return. Hope you all have a wonderful upcoming week!

Beauty, MakeupLip Glaze Stick by Stila

As you all know, I’m not a huge fan of lip glosses, but with dry weather kicking in, my lips needed a moisturizing product during the day. Recently, I went to Sephora to do some shopping and stumbled upon the Stila Lip Glaze Sticks. I tested it on my hand in the store, adored the consistency and bought it right away.

These pencil sticks are modeled after the original and beloved Lip Glaze, giving the same rich moisturization and leaving your lips feeling smooth. But it’s less thick and sticky, which is what I liked about it. The formula also has a glossy shimmer, but doesn’t overdo it. A dual purpose product as both a lip gloss and lip liner, this product comes with a sharpener, which is nice because usually these are “extras” that you have to purchase. READ MORE
