Beauty, HairRéflection Collection by Kérastase Paris

My hair has never looked better and it’s all because of the Réflection Collection by Kérastase Paris. After my color appointment a few weeks ago, I began using the Réflection Collection and the results have been fantastic. As many know, these products really help keep your hair healthy. In fact, I’m not sure why it took me so long to catch on. But before I talk about my experience, let me tell you a little bit more about the Réflection products.

The Réflection Collection is a line of light-reflecting treatments that “reweave the fiber to reveal mirror-like radiance in colored hair.” Using the Fibrionic System, each product is enriched with cosmetic agents that target sensitized zones of the hair. A micro-mesh woven coats hair fibers to restore each hair with smoothness and shine. Lastly, the products are enhanced with a UV filter to protect against the elements. Overall, this system helps improve the appearance of weakened hair, optimizes brightness and color, while protecting and smoothing hair strands. The Réflection Collection is made up of 4 products:

  • Bain Miroir – A gently formulated shampoo cleanses hair, eliminates build-up and boosts color radiance. ($21)
  • Chroma Reflect Radiance-Enhancing Milk – A lightweight conditioner that protects and perfects hair, while boosting the “reflection capacity for resplendent color.” ($24)
  • Chroma Reflect Radiance-Enhancing Masque – An intensive treatment that transforms hair texture, protecting against external elements and smoothing the surface to create radiant, shiny locks. ($58)
  • Chroma Protect Protective Polishing Cream – A leave-in weightless cream protects against heat and free radicals, smooths the hair fiber, enhances color radiance. ($34)

Bain Miroir begins my routine. Pouring a quarter-sized amount into my palm, this shampoo creates a gentle lather. If you don’t feel like it’s enough, a little bit more water will help it along. Then, I follow up with the Radiance-Enhancing Milk. I’m constantly searching for a lightweight, yet moisturizing shampoo and this fits the bill perfectly. I just squeeze excess water out of my hair, apply to the ends and wait a few minutes before rinsing out. Once a week, I’ll use the Radiance-Enhancing Masque for a deep conditioning treatment to restore moisture to the bottom half of my hair, particularly the ends where they tend to dry out the most. Since the weather is still warm, I try not to blow dry my hair everyday – but whenever I do, I will use the Protective Polishing Cream. Just a pea-sized amount works great. Rub it between your palms and run through your hair for even coverage. (I recommend applying to hair that is ear-length and below; this prevents the scalp from getting too oily before your next wash.)

The result of this regime has been super, super shiny hair that is moisturized – but not greasy or oily. In fact, I can’t remember the last time my hair was this shiny or reflective. It’s also looking really healthy, even after heat styling – whether it’s a blow dry or straightening iron. My color also has been maintained, which is fantastic…I’m pretty much game for whatever helps stretch those expensive color appointments. Seriously, I have no idea why I didn’t try this earlier! If you have color-treated hair, you MUST try this.
