Tom Ford for Men
The next guy I date seriously enough to gift for will be lucky to receive Tom Ford’s new fragrance for men. Like how men buy women lingerie, I will be buying the lucky guy this gift as much for myself as for him. I usually don’t like fragrances for men but I simply cannot get enough of this one. It instantly reminds me of a tall, elegant, Hamptons going, Ermenegildo Zegna wearing man. Yum.
The key ingredient in Tom Ford for Men is Cypriol which is a warmer substitute for musk. This essential oil, originating from India, is rumored to be the secret to long successful love affairs! In the frangrance, it creates that sensual woodiness that I find so masculine. The scent contains middle notes and top notes of orange flower, violet, Italian bergamot, ginger, and grapefruit flower which provide a nice, fresh counterpoint to the oriental base. What I like most about this fragrance is that while intense, it is still very clean smelling and not overwhelming- something I could definitely cuddle up to.
Since launching Black Orchid for women last year, Tom Ford is working on establishing himself in the luxury fragrance scene. Tom Ford for Men launched September 24 exclusively at Saks stores nationwide. In the following weeks, he will also launch a lighter version of the women’s fragrance and rumor is it that he has a couple more secret scents set to debut early next year.
