Wow, wow, wow! Everything from Cake & Milk Paperie is obsession-worthy – and after seeing their goods in person, we truly can’t stop gushing about them.

Founder and designer, Angeline Tsao, combined her fashion and tech background to launch her stationery line. Her vintage-inspired line takes “a fresh spin on a trio of old-fashioned arts: clothes-making, printing, and friendship through paper.” All items are made-to-order with acid-free buttercream paper (smooth 80lb cover, 30% recycled total recovered fibers). “I love the constant creativity, cognitive challenges, handcrafting delightful goods one order at a time. Our genre of custom stationery allows me to focus on each individual, since each order spins a wonderful story about them,” notes Angeline.

When our samples arrived, the goods were wrapped gently in colored tissue paper and offset by a contrasting metallic sticker that spells out their tagline: “fresh papergoods made for you.” And that’s only the beginning! We unraveled the tissue paper to find each box of cards enclosed in a soft printed cloth bag and tied with their signature brown ribbon; this extra step further prevents any damage during shipment. “I ponder, create and package attentively down to the twists of tissue paper and seal. Not only did our client receive personalized stationery, they, mostly unknowingly, receive genuine personalized service,” says Angeline. That’s how much she cares about you. (Plus, we’re all about presentation.)

Onto the stationery…we’re blown away yet again. We are actually a little overwhelmed by our obsession with their personalized flats called Lovebirds. You choose a two-line saying to be printed in neat cursive; it’s situated underneath two colorful handcut felt lovebirds. The lovebirds are hand-attached to 5×7 buttercream flats (with matching envelope, of course!). So adorable and so perfect – anytime of year!

Need to say thank you? We frequently do! The boxed flats dubbed World’s Fair are our pick. Say thanks in up to 11 languages (we liked Italian: “molto grazie”). The cards are printed with an antiquated font and swirl. To accent, the edges are hand-notched with vintage lattice – and pick your choice of colored envelopes to match. The effect is ultra elegant, yet delightfully jolly.

Lastly, you can’t ignore their personalized flats. We’re huge fans of their signature Ribbon Notes. Satin grosgrain or satin picot ribbon is handwrapped around each folded note and “personalized in licorice ink.” They arrive with matching personalized buttercream envelopes. Simple and chic! You could also try their vintage-inspired Multiple Lines or Sewn Ricrac flats, both of which are hugely popular with their loyal fans.
