Redness Solutions

Clinique Redness Solutions

I have fond memories of Clinique. It was my very first department store beauty brand. I still remember the day that my mom took me to the Clinique counter and purchased the classic 3-Step Set for me, so I could learn how to properly take care of my skin. She also let me buy the Almost Lipstick in Black Honey; it was my very first lipstick and I cherished it. (By the way, it’s also one of the best colors ever made in my opinion.) This is also probably when my true obsession with beauty products began.

So, it’s with great fondness that I’m writing this review of their latest skincare collection, Redness Solutions, which launched this January. A couple months ago, we met the lovely Clinique PR reps in New York – and they graciously gifted us with generous samples of the products. I’ve desperately wanted to write about this ever since. Designed to provide redness relief for all skin types and occasions, this line consists of:

I’m loving all of the Redness Solutions products, but my favorite of the bunch is the Urgent Relief Cream. It’s become a staple in my purse – especially perfect for those days when it gets a little too cold and as a result, my nose resembles Rudolph. The Urgent Relief Cream includes ingredients such as linoleic acid, shea butter, green tea extract, hydrocortisone acetate, sucrose and sodium hyluronate just to name a few. This combination of ingredients calm, soothe and moisturize skin, as well as helps prevent future irritation. It gets rid of redness in a snap, is 100% fragrance-free and sinks into skin easily, so you can use it anywhere, anytime.

Honestly, you must check out this collection as there’s something for everyone – from those who experience temporary redness from an insect bite (or overindulgence during cocktails) to those who suffer from rosacea or eczema. View the entire collection at Clinique.com or stop by your local Clinique counter.

Aww Clinique was my first department store beauty brand too…I felt so proud of myself when I bought my own Clinique foundation and face sunscreen. I’ve moved onto Bare Minerals since then, but the sunscreen is still my favorite!

it should be noted, however that the urgent relief cream contains hydrocortisone which is NOT recommended for rosacea sufferers- many of which would look to a redness reducing product…
