A Must-Order Sampler

Jo Malone is a beloved beauty brand for women around the world — and though I’ve heard the hype (wow, probably since they hit the counters at Neiman Marcus years ago), I’ve never tried any of their scents. Now, I’m basically chastising myself for not jumping on the bandwagon earlier because the fragrances are absolutely stunning.
I recently tried the Cologne Collection ($90), which is a essentially a sampler of Jo Malone’s scents. It arrives in a beautiful box and held together with black grosgrain ribbon. The set comes up with 6 of Malone’s best fragrances, each housed in 9ml bottles: Orange Blossom, Grapefruit, Pomegranate Noir, Lime Basil & Mandarin, Amber & Lavender, Blue Agava & Cacao. This is a wonderful way to try out the line, as well as trying to layer them over one another to find your signature scent.
My favorite is Orange Blossom, which is freshly floral and reminds me of tropical islands. (The BF is a huge fan of this one as well.) It’s absolutely intoxicating. But the great thing about Jo Malone’s colognes is that they are made for experimentation. Layered with Grapefruit, it’s a bright, yet refreshing and sophisticated scent – perfect for a breezy spring day. For a warmer, but still elegant fragrance, try it with Blue Agava & Cacao for something sweetly sexy. Other combos to try: Grapefruit and Lime Basil & Mandarin (zesty and fruity, but not overpowering); Pomegranate Noir and Lime Basil & Mandarin (spicy, but clean); Pomegranate Noir and Amber & Lavender (earthy, deep and quite unique).
Boys – if you haven’t picked up something for your significant other, get this. We guarantee that she’ll love it. Just head on over to jomalone.com for your nearest retailer OR order it online and give your gal an IOU, along with a couple dozen roses!
