Beauty, SkincareThe Lip Scrub

Though I’ve heard the rave reviews of The Lip Scrub by Sara Happ ($20) for several years, I admit…I had doubts about how well it would work. I asked, “How different could it be from a DIY sugar scrub?” After trying this, my doubts have been squashed because my dry lips have not been this smooth in months.

Made with a brown sugar base, the Lip Scrub comes in 6 flavors: Almond Creme, Peppermint, Vanilla Bean, Brown Sugar, Cocoa and Cinnamon Sugar. I picked Vanilla Bean to try. Open the jar and simply use a finger to scoop out a bit of the scrub. It has a thick consistency and is firmly packed into the jar, so just remember this: a little goes a long way. You just take it and massage it onto your lips in a circular motion. I was thrown off at first, mainly because I’ve never exfoliated my lips before, but you’ll get of the hang of it easily. After a couple minutes of rubbing, you just wipe away the leftover scrub with a tissue. The scrub is super moisturizing and honestly, leaves your lips very soft.

Honestly, this scrub is a must if you have dry, flaky lips. Your lipstick and gloss will look 10x better after this treatment. (You’ll also love the scent because it smells exactly like a cookie!) For more information or to purchase, visit www.thelipscrub.com.

Lip scrub!! That is just what I need…I’m getting chapped lips lately but chapstick isn’t completely doing the job…perhaps if I apply chapstick after the lip scrub I’ll have softer lips :].

I definitely need something like this, the cold weather is just drying out my lips like crazy. I’m not sure if I can spend $20 on this… though I really really want to! :)
