This installment of my new favorite lipcolors features one of the most truly unique lip glosses I have ever come across: the Lipcandy Glaze from Colorscience. The shade I am wearing is called “suga babe,” which is described as a “toasty cinnamon shade.” To me, it is one of the more vibrant neutral/ brown shades that actually adds noticeable color to my lips, while still falling into the daywear category. The gloss also comes packed with a cool silvery sheen that adds a nice dimension.
Now what is so unique about this product? The coverage and depth of color you see above is achieved by a single swipe of this virtually weightless gloss. That’s right — there is 0% stickiness or thickness to this product at all. The texture is actually more like that of water (well, chocolate-y water as this gloss packs a yummy scent as well), which makes this the perfectly kissable gloss. Also, there is no discomfort with anything sticking to your lips or a mouthful of hair. And as for longevity, the color lasted me a good couple of hours before I had to reapply, even though the sheen wore off a little bit. As the product dries down, your lips are left with a nice neutral stain.
Colorscience makes this glaze in a variety of colors, but “suga babe” is my favorite. For those who are more bold with brighter shades, head over to their website to find your favorite.
