A Fekkai Hair Day
I’ve always known that a Fekkai hair day meant a good hair day, but ever since discovering products from their Coiff collection, I can now achieve my desired look in about 1/4 the time – no joke. I’m a pretty low maintenance hair gal; usually, I just blow dry and straight iron, but I have a lot of hair and it takes forever. And often, if I don’t straight iron in just the right way, it comes out looking kind of puffy.
Well, I haven’t picked up a straight iron in about a month, which is how long I have been using Fekkai Coiff’s Controle Ironless Straightening Balm. I simply put some into towel-dried damp hair and blowdry with the nozzle pointed downwards. After a few minutes, I simply brush though and then voila! I’m done for the day. Less than 5 minutes and my hair stays sleek all day. In addition, this product does a great job of separating my layers giving, my hair a texturized look. I can’t really explain the miracle behind this product – all I know is that it is one.
Now on days that I feel like being a little more creative, I’ll try that voluminous half-up look. Basically, I’ll take my Controle straightened hair, push some up the crown of my head and then bobby pin. But to keep it looking that way all day long, I now only reach for Fekkai’s Shape & Set Mist. First of all, this sprays much nicer than the typical hair spray; it’s much easier to control the nozzle and target the product to go where you want. Secondly, there is no crunchiness and no hair spray smell. A few spritzes keeps my hair securely in place. Sadly, this product is limited edition, which means I’ll have to go stock up on more soon.
Yes, these products work and they work well, but what keeps me coming back to them is that they do not grease up or build up in my hair at all. Now, my hair is thick and difficult and manages to go from dry to extremely greasy in about 2 minutes. Neither of these products have caused any additional grease in my hair, which is truly a first for me. I love this line so much I’m adding it to my Obsessions list – can’t wait to try out all the other products!
