As the Artistic Director of shu uemura, makeup artist Gina Brooke is well-known for her exceptional work. Her beauty philosophy is in line with Mr. Uemura’s: “Beautiful makeup starts with beautiful skin.” She’s worked with some of the most amazing photographers, supermodels, directors, and designers such as Annie Leibovitz, Alex Wek, Gilles Bensimon, Katie Holmes, Monique Lhullier, Max Azria, Naomi Campell – just to name a few. But perhaps you may know her as the makeup artist that reinvented Madonna’s look in 2002. In addition to collaborating with Madonna for music videos, concerts, etc., Gina also created an amazing $10,000 pair of diamond and mink-encrusted lashes for Madonna, which was absolutely revolutionary at the time. Consumers became so enthralled with the lashes that shu uemura ended up re-creating them to sell! We’re so excited that Gina was willing to share her latest obsessions with us…so check them out!
