Beauty, Makeup, ObsessionsInstant Perfection

I am a super on-the-go girl. Sometimes, after I leave the apartment in the morning, I don’t get home until around midnight with after work drinks, dinners, events, what have you. And after sweating for 8 hours in the office (I swear, my building sets the thermostat as high as it can go), pretty much all my makeup is gone, so I carry around a small bag of portable makeup that can have me looking fresh in no time flat.

I can tell you that the first thing that is NOT in my bag is foundation. I can’t carry around a heavy glass bottle of liquid without expecting some kind of disaster. So instead I throw in my tube of Maybelline Age Rewind Double Face Perfector, which is a mess free, hassle free, and incredibly effective system that instantly touches up my face. First of all, I don’t know if this product rewinds my age…but then again I’m only 23, so I’m not exactly looking for makeup that will have me denied at the bar. But the end result from using this does make my skin look even, smooth and bright. The product comes with a conceal side and a highlight side. The liquid concealer spreads thinly across my face and immediately tames any and all redness; then, a quick swipe of the highlighter brightens instantly. The highlighter can also be used on eye lids to perk up tired eyes. Literally, I’m good to go in a minute.

Now I’ve traditionally been one of those gals who exclusively used prestige brands (too much marketing got to my head), but I’ve found this product to be better than a ton of others I’ve tried including Clarins, YSL, and DuWop. Which is great because at a price point of $8.50 – that means I can buy 2 for the price of my next New York cocktail.
