Whenever possible, I like to use organic products. As much as I love “regular” makeup and skincare, there’s something nice about reading the ingredient list on the back of whatever I’m putting on my body and knowing that it’s all natural. Recently, I tried a few items from the aptly named Pure line and discovered that going green isn’t the only benefit you’ll get from using their products.

The Pink Grapefruit Exfoliating Scrub is made with organic grapefruit, lemon and lime essential oils, so its uplifting scent makes it perfect for your morning shower. The 100% natural scrub cleanses and tones your skin while softening it, and the antiseptic properties in the oils detoxifies as it exfoliates. One thing I really like about the formula – it got rid of my my dry skin without being too harsh. (My main goal with exfoliation isn’t to literally scrub off my skin!) And at $16 for an 8 ounce jar, going organic won’t be tough on your wallet – always a plus.

I’m also a fan of Peppermint Prana, their peppermint and lavender liquid hand soap. I always have a liquid soap in my bathroom (I’m partial to the Bath & Body Works line), but it’s nice to break out of my rut and try something new. Peppermint Prana comes housed in a chic silver container that’ll stand out on your sink while keeping your hands clean. The soap comes out as a liquid and foams up nicely, and the combination of lavender’s anti-bacterial property and peppermint’s uplifting scent makes it a welcome addition to my bathroom sink.
