Girls, let’s be honest. Some days you feel fatter than others – whether that’s because you skipped the gym for a week, ate late night McDonald’s after partying, or just for some reason are holding a little bloat. Then Friday night hits and you want to wear your new minidress, but wish you could just have a little extra help sucking you in…

Enter Spanx – a very well known line of shapewear that you’ve probably heard of, but maybe never tried. In fact, I didn’t even try Spanx until this past Fashion Week, when I had no time for the gym and was spending all my time eating and drinking, when not sitting in the office or the tents. I was so amazed at the results that I’m a now a diehard Spanx fan. Every piece I’ve tried in the product line smooths and slims, instantly taking off inches around your trouble spots. There is something in the Spanx line that is appropriate for whatever outfit you may want to wear! I combined a shaping cami with a seamless panty to wear under my office garb of button down shirt tucked into a pencil skirt, and the LA Editor swears by the seamless slip to wear under her clingy silk dress. Regardless of what product you choose, every item in the Spanx line is made with the same high quality attention to detail. For example, your cami won’t roll and start creeping up your body because it has a little elastic “grabber” at the hem that makes sure it sticks in place.

Spanx also makes very innovative items that you may not even know you need…until you try them and then are hooked. For example, their award winning bra, Bra-llelujah – appropriately named after what you want to shout once you try this product. First of all, it eliminates the unsightly bra lines and minimizes back fat you see under tight shirts by automatically stretching and forming to your body shape. And in addition, it is by far, the most comfortable bra I’ve ever worn. So comfortable that I’ve even been known to fall asleep in it without waking up in discomfort in the middle of the night.

The truth is, I’m obsessed with Spanx. I try to throw it on under anything and everything I can and that little extra support does wonders for your image confidence.
