Earth Day at Kiehl’s
April 22nd, 2008 by ninabee

Kiehl’s is celebrating Earth Day at their stores with reusable canvas tote bags. By using reusable bags, we can try to reduce the waste of paper or plastic shopping bags. Today, the first 50 customers to return an empty Kiehl’s bottle to a free-standing store for recycling will receive one of these cute totes! While you’re there, be sure to check out their new line: Kiehl’s Superbly Restorative Preparations. The collection consists of a Body Lotion ($35), Dry Oil ($30), and Skin Salve ($25), which aim to soothe and replenish skin. The key ingredient is Moroccan argan oil, which has restorative properties to improve your skin tone. The argan oil has been sourced from a fair trade women’s cooperative in Morocco, meaning a fair price was paid for the product–helping to sustain the community. I sampled the Body Lotion and Dry Oil and found them both to work really well for my skin. The Dry Oil is meant for the face or hair, and restores moisture while improving appearance. I would only recommend the Dry Oil to dry skin types. The Body Lotion was extremely soothing, and my skin still felt soft hours after applying.
