Ralph Gone Wild?

Last week I wrote about how excited I was to try the new perfumed by Ralph Lauren: Wild. Well I’ve been spritzing my sample bottle every day since I got it and I’m happy to say that it has not disappointed.

However, “wild” isn’t quite the adjective I would go for to describe how I feel about this scent. “Happy” and “free spirited” seem more appropriate. It’s a sweet, sporty perfume that makes me think about taking long road trips down Big Sur, but there is really nothing edgy about it that gives it that wild excitement the name would suggest.

With that said, it’s still a pleasant and likable fragrance. A simple Google search reveals that many bloggers out there who have already reviewed Wild feel that it’s best left to teenagers. While, it may not be appropriate for an evening event, I am a few years into my 20s and will still wear this scent this summer. It smells nothing like the original Ralph; it’s much fruitier, though equally as sweet. However, I didn’t find the scent to be cloying at all, and I actually find the bursts of strawberries and watermelon to be refreshing. I especially love spritzing Wild on on a sunny day as I’m headed out in my sunglasses. It instantly brightens my mood.

Now I don’t know if Ralph’s gone Wild with this new fragrance…yet, I don’t completely think they just went safe either. Regardless, what I can agree to is that Ralph is still fun.
