What’s in your Sephora Bag?
Frequent readers of beauty blogs may already know that cosmetics giant Sephora recently published their first book a couple weeks ago. Aptly named SEPHORA: The Ultimate Guide, this hardcover is kind of like an extensive product catalog with loads of model pictures and jampacked with professional tips, tricks and secrets. And since this is an actual book meant to be kept by your cosmetics stash long term- you’ll find a lot of classic looks- and then, of course, the actual products you can purchase to achieve them. Love it!
I also love the section that shows you the secret of ingredients. Seriously, I’ve just gotten the hang of understanding food ingredients- forget about the 15 letter words I see on the back of cosmetics bottles! But this book teaches me that meadowfoam is a moisturizer that can be found in mascara and kaolin is sometimes added to foundations to absorb oil.
Now, you may have also seen on other blogs that along with the book launch, Sephora is organizing a giveaway- a bag full of random products from their stores. Smashbox Photo Finish Primer–I LOVE the way that my skin feels after applying this, and I can wear it alone or with foundation.
I got a sample of Philosophy’s Amazing Grace once from them once and fell in love with the scent. I went back and got the scented soap, salt scrub…
Only one? Well, I have to say that I love the Cosmedicine line…medi-matte face lotion is one of my faves!
On my favorites list at Sephora are the DDF TRF Moisturizer and Aloe Toner – also the Nars Multiples (I have then all) and the Nars Rain lip moisturizer (don’t go to bed without it)!!!
My favorite is definitely DuWop Lip Venom. I’m not convinced the plumping effect works, but I don’t really care. My lips are actually pretty full on their own. What I love is the super fun tingly sensation! It’s like crack.
My favorite product from Sephora is the Fekkai Glossing Cream – I got a sample when I bought a Cargo lip gloss, and headed back to Sephora the very next day to buy the big tube of glossing cream!
Bare Escentuals’ eyebrow kit has been a lifesaver for me – looking at pics now vs. before this discovery is a little scary!
i just started using bare escentuals (bought the starter kit from sephora)- i love how light it is, and how if i happen to fall alseep with it on im not terrified of breaking out miserably
My favorite product is Bare Escentuals bareMinerals SPF15 Foundation. With the perfect shade, it makes my skin flawless and gives it a natural glow.
I also love the shu uemura Eyelash Curler and the Imju Fiberwig Fiberwig mascara!
My favorite Sephora brand product is their nail polish. It comes in tons of fun colors, is low priced and lasted more than a week on me with only small chips without a top coat! And I’m rough with my hands.
My favorite Sephora product is Stella McCartney’s Rose Absolute perfume. I live in a small town and can’t get that kind of thing here! :)
Wow, one is so hard to pick. Ultimate favorite would have to be Urban Decay Primer Potion.
But I’m also loving Urban Decay’s brow box in honey pot right now.
My favorite SEPHORA beauty product is Sephora Bubble Bath. I am obsessed with this product because it provides lots of fragrant bubbles and is very affordable.
My current favorite product is a hot pink lipstick by Bourjois. Sheer enough so it’s not outlandish but such a great pop of color! Love it :)
Bare Minerals foundation, without a doubt, is a lifesaver. My skin has never looked better, or more natural!
My favorite would have to be Philosophy’s Amazing Grace Perfumed Hair Conditioner. I love the smell and it leaves my hair so soft!
Philosophy Purity Made Simple – Absolutely the best all-around makeup remover, ever. I detest using one formula for face, one for eyes. This does it all for me, and improves my skin to boot!
I need Philosophy Hope in a jar, or my skin is just terrible, and I need Bare Escentuals mineral foundation.
My favorite Sephora brand product is their kabuki brush. It’s half the price of most kabuki brushes, and doesn’t shed at all! My favorite non-sephora brand product that you can buy at Sephora would be the Makeup-for-Ever Aqua eyes eyeliner. LOVE them.
My current favorite, which I use every day, is PTR Acne Clearing Gel. I stock up for the year at the annual F&F sale.
I love Stila Lip Glaze in Apricot…first item I ever bought from Sephora. It’s a bit sticky, (don’t wear it on a windy day with your hair down!!!) but it creates really sexy, plump looking glossy lips.
Oooo this is tough since I LOVE everything… hmmm I think Sephora’s Blockbuster palette is my favorite!! So many colors and I use it all the time!
Wow— if I had to choose just one thing, it would be Laura Mercier’s tinted moisturizer. Its heaven sent!
I don’t have a sephora where I’m from so when I stumble upon one its heaven. I love urban decay eye shadows and of course smashbox foundation primer! Oh to win this would be so amazing. I really don’t get the opportunity to try much from the store.
Sephora’s store brand stuff is surprisingly awesome, particularly Lush Flush lip stain and some of the metallic eyeliners. But my go-to Sephora item will always be Urban Decay liquid eyeliner, because I know no shame. :)
