Flirting with Ruffles

Spring and summer means dress season to me. I much prefer them to shorts, since I think dresses can be much more flattering for my figure. You also don’t have to think about actually putting together an outfit, but can just throw on the dress with a pair of sandals and be done with it!

I recently discovered this gorgeous line called Porter Grey – and now covet every piece in their collection. Let’s start with the Ruffle Trim Dress… this lovely sleeveless dress is made of 100% silk. The frock features simple lines and shape, but is dressed up with feminine ruffles at the neckline. There are also slit pockets at the hip, which is a nice modern detail.

Where and how would I wear this? To a wedding, with metallic heels and a clutch. To work, with a serious black blazer, belt and round toe pumps. To a dinner party, with flat strappy sandals and light shawl. What about you?
