I remember I went with my mom when I was 12, I think, and she had the makeup artist to a smokey eye on her (but she wasn't able to do it because my mom WOULD NOT STOP BLINKING) and I bought a quickliner. Then when we met back up with my dad, as he wasn't used to my mom wearing eyeshadow, he was like, "WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR EYES, DID SOMEONE HIT YOU?"

I went into clinique I was 36 weesk pregnant and I felt ugly. Being that my husband was and still is in Iraq at the time I had a little extra money to spend. I bought $300 of stuff and since then have bought another $300. I am now a clinique addict.

i remember the consensus being that clinique was great but way out of my price range. so i waited way too long to try it! when i finally went up to the counter and asked a million questions i realized this was fully in my price range. everything's worked so well, i've never even considered anything else for skin care.

when i was about 12-13, my mom took me to the clinique counter so that I could begin a "skincare ritual". I remember the sliders with the silver knobs that identified whether you were a type I-IV ( I was and probably still am a III). It was the first cosmetic bonding I did with my mother, and even though she has been gone for 12+ years, I still think of her every night when I faithfully cleanse, tone and moisturize :)
