Tucker by Gaby Basora

A month or two ago, I stumbled across a fabulous boutique label and became obsessed with their gorgeous prints and shapes of the clothing. The line was Tucker, designed by Gaby Basora. The entire line is centered around 14 core silhouettes - from a boat neck cap sleeve tunic to the sleeveless dress. Ms. Basora produces various prints for each of these silhouettes and each will seem indispensable. You will want them all - and then hold onto each piece forever.

I am 100% enamored with with Super Sunny Day print, offered as a camisole dress. The pattern of yellow leaves and sprigs is perfectly cheery and summery, while the silk blend makes it airy and breathable. It’s has a bit of a retro vibe, yet simultaneously manages to be absolutely modern. Simply throw on a cardigan and sandals for a sweet, yet luxurious day look.

Along the same lines, Tucker’s version of the blouse coveys effortless glamour. For a bright, fun splash of color, look no further than the Helen’s Patio print. The green silk blouse has an allover floral print with ruched bell sleeves. It’d be perfect with a crisp white skirt! Feeling a bit neutral? Try the Cache Tree print for a floaty, yet earthy feel. Toss on a pair of jeans and you’ll be comfortable and chic for the weekend.

I’m also always up for a lovely tunic to add to my collection. They’re so easy and versatile; plus, they can be dressed up and down without too much thought. I find the Tucker tunic to be most luxurious in the Egypt Desert Ride print. The subtle tonal dot print is natural, yet incredibly sophisticated. You could wear this belted over black skinny jeans, or if you’re a bit more daring, by itself with flats.
