Glaze Over

One of my must haves in the shower these days is Frederic Fekkai Salon Glaze, a product I started using obsessively after my latest color and highlights.

This is an at-home rinse that mimics the glaze treatments you can get salons. However, this product is made with a non-chemical formula and consists of a unique blend of silicones and proteins that coat the hair shaft to shine and condition. And unlike traditional serums, you apply this in the shower and then rinse off so you won’t be left with any greasy residue. Since this product contains no chemicals that are potentially harmful, you can use it as much as you want. I ran out of my usual conditioner a couple weeks ago and have been using this almost every day and the results have been fabulous! I have black hair that has been dyed brown with caramel highlights and I am extremely paranoid about the possibility of my hair drying out and the color turning brassy. I started using this as a preventative measure and much to my delight, it has kept my hair shiny and color fresh. I’ve found Salon Glaze to be one of the best (and easiest) ways to maintain color at home.

You can purchase this at Sephora; the $28 will last you quite awhile.
