Soap & Paper Factory: Part 1

I’ve got an exciting new find that I wanted to share with everyone — the Soap & Paper Factory! As you may have guessed from its name, the Soap & Paper Factory specializes in pure, natural products for your body, and home. In this post, I’ll review the beauty and body products first, with a follow-up in a few weeks of the paper and home products. What makes this brand stand out is the quality of their handmade goods and the attention to every detail, down to the packaging. Each product is wrapped in hand-sketched, locally printed recycled paper. I have to admit, I’m a sucker for great packaging. All of these hand-drawn designs are charming! I plan on reusing the boxes to store any little thing.

Even better, the beauty products themselves are wonderful and delicate as well. Soap & Paper makes Body Cream ($56), Body Scrub ($44), Fizzing Bath Powder ($36), Bath & Basin Boxed Soap set ($28), and Bar Soaps ($14). The ingredients are natural, and local and organic ingredients are used as much as possible. The founders of Soap & Paper mix and pour their soaps out by hand, and then work on wrapping each individually. Each of these is available in a variety of lovely scents: Rosewood, Verbena, Orange Blossom, Green Tea, Fig, and Cinnamon Clove. I’ve had the chance to test out these scents, and they are really just perfect. They aren’t overly herbal like some scented products tend to be, but they aren’t overly perfumed either. They are scented with a deep richness that lingers and stays with you. I honestly have a hard time picking out an absolute favorite product or scent out of the whole line, but I do love all the Rosewood and Green Tea goods.

Any of these would be a great gift to give, or an indulgent treat for yourself. Visit soapandpaperfactory.com for more information on these amazing products, and be sure to check back for Part 2 of the review: paper and home goods! Detailed information about the scents after the cut.
