A Custom skin iD

July 25th, 2008 by ninabee

SkiniDskin iD is a new acne treatment line from Neutrogena that provides you with a personalized skin care regimen. Just fill out a short skin Evaluation, and skin iD tells you exactly what products to use to treat your skin. I usually don’t have acne problems, but during the summer time, I’m definitely prone to breaking out more often. I took the evaluation and was recommended the 14.32.38 regimen–a cream cleanser, acne treatment, and treatment pads. I was also sent a cute travel bag and a small tube of spot treatment.

I began the regimen a few weeks ago, and the results so far have been fantastic. The active ingredient in the cream cleanser is salicylic acid, and I’ve been using it morning and night. It’s very gentle and doesn’t dry out my skin at all. The acne treatment contains benzoyl peroxide, which my skin has been sensitive in the past, so I only applied it to problem spots once a day. I also keep the small spot treatment on hand to quickly nip any emerging break outs in the bud. I’ve found that my skin has reacted well to the new regimen and hasn’t felt dry or too sensitive. Any pimples tend to go away a lot faster, in pretty much about 2 days or less! Plus, skin iD makes sure that you can contact dermatologists easy with any questions, so it truly is custom skin care.

skinid.com has more information about the personalized regimens and educational information about acne and your skin. An introductory kit is just $39.90, so take the skin iD Evaluation and get started today!

I’m very interested in using this product, I currently see a dermatologist but as my acne continues to get better…i’m loking for something to speed up the process. I am however, allergic to products with (salacylic acid) in them..I’m wondering if any of these products have that chemical? please reply at bsue2013@gmail.com

Hi Bobbysue, as I mentioned in the review, the active ingredient in a few of the products in this line is indeed salicylic acid.

I ordered SKIN ID about 3 weeks ago and recently discovered that the products that I received were the same Neutrogena products that you can buy from the store for about $6 each. I compared the products’ ingredients and they were the exact same ingredients in the exact same order. So if you have already tried Neutrogena’s acne products from the store this is what you are getting except at a higher price
