Lush Hair
We just love LUSH Cosmetics here at TDO — their products are fresh, environmentally-conscious, and loaded with natural ingredients. LUSH avoids using too much wasteful packaging, and their products always last a really long time. I was still a bit hesitant to try their Solid Shampoo Bars, though. Somehow, I couldn’t picture myself lathering my hair up with a solid form of shampoo! Now I’m so glad I gave it a shot, because I found a great shampoo that I can use while traveling.
My favorite is the Ultimate Shine Solid Shampoo, which retails for $9.25. It’s a white bar with just a little bit of gold sparkles that glisten in your hair. It has a sweet, ylang ylang scent and all you have to do is wet your hair, wet the bar, and start lathering. I found the shampoo to lather really well and it did leave my hair looking super shiny afterwards. Each bar is supposed to last for up to 70 washes, and they travel well, too. Don’t most of their shampoos include sodium laureth sulfate? Isn’t that not natural at all? I’ve always been confused by those two seemingly disparate elements to their company.
Hi Aurora, LUSH defines any non-natural or non-organic ingredient that they use as a “safe synthetic.” I believe that any sodium laureth sulfate that used in their products is heavily diluted and modified. In any case, none in this particular product. I’d contact LUSH for any more details on that- I’m sure they’d be happy to help answer your question!
wow, once you start using lush you get hooked! I really want to recommend the godiva shampoo bar- its fantastic! the smell makes me feel great, like im in heaven. its a must-have hair product!
I also had horrible acne, and once it was mild I started using their facewash coalface. it’s kept me clear ever since!
I am totally addicted to Lush. Have you tried their Buffy bar? It is about the best exfoliating soap bar I have ever used.
