Enhance Your Eyes

The only fun thing about picking up a prescription at the drugstore is that it gives me a chance to check out all the new stuff on the makeup aisles.  (You’d think I would be sick of makeup after my weekly trips to Sephora, but apparently not!)  This weekend, I discovered CoverGirl’s Eye Enhancers, a new shade collection of pressed eye shadows in dozens of different colors.

The entire color palette was designed by world famous makeup artist Pat McGrath and it shows – the colors range from subtle to dramatic and include new Enhance and Blast shades, which are made up of the bright hues that have been so popular this summer (greens, blues, yellows, etc…)  It’s a great way to test out these colors to see if you like them – because let’s face it, lime green isn’t for everyone.  The shades comes in 1, 3 and 4 color kits, and the ones with multiple colors all contain complimentary shades so that you can create the perfect look without wondering which shades go together (always helpful).  The shadows go on smoothly and are made with fine, micro-sized powder particles to make blending a cinch.  Best of all, the kits are super cheap (around $5 and under) so you can buy as many as you like with no guilt.  (I’m partial to the Drama Eyes and Tropical Fusion kits myself).  Now if someone could only show me how to make orange eye shadow look as good on me as it does on the models in Allure, I’d be all set…
