Illuminate Your Visage

I’ve said many times before how I adore Laura Mercier’s Tinted Moisturizer. It’s a fabulous tinted moisturizer that gives your skin coverage, but still lets your natural beauty show through. So when I heard that Laura Mercier launched a new Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer, I knew that I had to try it.

The Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer is built with all the goodness that the original version has: SPF 20, lightweight texture, fantastic long-lasting color, and a sheer yet buildable formulation. What makes this different? “A unique Dewy Complex that is proven to keep the skin moisturized and better equipped to combat external aggressors and irritants.”

When you first squeeze some out of the tube, you’ll immediately notice that the consistency is much thicker than the original or oil-free versions. The coverage, therefore, is a little thicker. When you apply it onto your skin, you will immediately notice a slightly shimmery sheen, in an effort to “illuminate” your face. The result is a very dewy, radiant finish. I tried it in Natural Radiance, which was a perfect match for my skin during the summer months. (My skin only gets slightly darker from natural sun exposure, but it can be enough to change the color I use.) If you’re on the pale side, go for the Bare Radiance; or if you’re darker, pick up Warm Radiance. I really like this version…just gives you a wonderfully healthy, glowy complexion!
