Accessories, Fashion, Lust List, TravelLust List: September 2008

ONE. Moulinette Soeurs Hanging Gardens Dress — I’m always on the lookout for pretty dresses, and this one at Anthropologie has caught my eye. Designed by Moulinette Soeurs, it’s a silk dress with a gorgeous orange blossom print and delicate ruffled top. It’s also accented with a wide black sash, perfect for hiding an imperfect mid-section. I think it’s just right for September, with the darker colors taking you right into fall. I usually shy away from floral prints, but this one is just too pretty! - ninabee

TWO. One&Only Le Saint Geran — High on my Lust List this month is a full package at the One&Only Le Saint Geran in Mauritius. Widely acclaimed as one of the world’s top Resorts (rates start at $1000+/night), One&Only is legendary for delivering the most exceptional service and quality in some of the world’s most remarkable locations. Mauritius is located off the east coast of Africa, and I would love nothing more than to check into this resort after a few weeks discovering the continent. Alas, since I can only imagine staying at such a place with a husband, this fantasy shall remain as is for a while. - perfumed

THREE. Temperley London Metallic Gigi Small Tote in Graphite — I’m completely obsessed with this luxurious pleated leather tote, which is finished in a crackled metallic graphite hue, which seems oddly versatile. I adore the oversized gold pin detailing at the top, giving the bag a bit of edge. I imagine pairing this with everything from a simple shift dress to my favorite jeans. I’d love to snap this up, but at $1,395…it will have to wait. - thedailyobsession

FOUR. Christian Louboutin Trottinette Ankle Boots — Now that we’re heading into fall, I’m ready to move my sandals to the back of my closet and wear boots again. These Christian Louboutin boots would be the perfect addition to my cold weather wardrobe. Black leather goes with almost everything, and the large buckled strap at the ankle gives the basic black a funky, modern twist that would have me reaching for these shoes every morning. The super high heel (almost five inches!) might be a little tough on my feet, but they would dress up even jeans and the signature Louboutin red sole just makes me happy. Unfortunately, at $1,195, my feet will probably never see the inside of these boots, but a girl can dream, can’t she? - productwhore

FIVE. Mike & Chris Chandler Leather Jacket — One of my must-haves for fall is the never-can-go-wrong leather jacket. It’s perfect for wearing with dresses or skinny jeans, and great for slinging on once the weather starts to get chilly. I think that this version by Mike & Chris is just right; it’s the modern updated version of the motorcycle bomber with a hood, with a more streamlined fit and classic girly details (note the row of buttons on the front!) Pairing this with a girly dress adds just the right amount of edge and helps transition the summer dresses I’ve been wearing into fall. Sadly, at this price point, it remains on my lust list unless I happen to spot it at a sample sale! - joie
