A Brush with Nature

We’ve all heard that the foundation to a good makeup collection is a good brush collection, but brushes can be expensive. Oftentimes, they’re made of various kinds of fine or rare animal hair and one brush alone can be almost 40 dollars. As a girl on a budget, it was for this reason that my past brush collection consisted only of 1 or 2 quality brushes that I knew would be classic investments.
However, I was still missing all those brushes in between that were also essentials. Thanks to my recent discovery of Ecotools, my brush collection is now complete! Ecotools sells a wide range of brushes, ranging from powder brushes, Kabuki brushes, concealer, eye, and blush brushes, as well as bamboo powderpuffs.
Ecotools brushes are also different from other brush brands because there is a green focus. The handles on all of the brushes are made out of bamboo (a highly sustainable resource), the metal on the brushes is constructed out of recycled aluminum, and the synthetic hair on the brushes is cruelty free. Additionally, the pouches for the brushes are made out of all natural hemp and cotton.
I’ve been a user of mineral makeup, which is heavily brush dependent, and I’ve replaced the original brush that came with my makeup for the Ecotools version. The Ecotools brush in fact, worked better than the original, as the synthetic hair was so soft, it could have fooled me into thinking it was real animal hair. Most importantly, the Ecotools brushes are very easy on the wallet, as a set of 5 brushes can cost only $11.99. All in all, Ecotools brushes pull triple duty by being a great value, good quality, and green approved. You can find the Ecotools brushes sold at a Target or Walgreens near you.

I would recommend seeking them out at a green retailer if possible. My fiance owns a store that carries all environmentally friendly products and much of his stock can be found at a Target or other big box retailer. However, many people support him because he is a small business, does great events in the local community, and donates portions of his profits to environmental charities.
Without that support, he could not compete with larger chains and of course that would be of a detriment to our lives, but also the community his store is in. Most of the big retailers only go green because it is trendy and profitable for them.

OH I LOVE THESE!!! i got the 5 brush set from ebay for 6 dollars and i’m obsessed with them!! they’re better than any expensive ones i’ve ever used!!
