Lust List: October 2008

ONE. Jimmy Choo Smooth Sandal — I absolutely love the Smooth sandal from Jimmy Choo. I love the silver metallic color (but would snatch up the gold as well!), and the 4″ heel would definitely help legs look longer. The tie wraps around the ankle and gives a romantic feel to the shoes. These would instantly dress up any outfit and would look spectacular with a little black dress, or any color dress, for that matter. The design is simple, but the impact is so much more. At close to $600, these will have to be lusted for from afar for now! - ninabee
TWO. Marchesa Gown — In my fantasies, if I were a red-carpet starlet a la Anne Hathaway or Rachel Bilson, I would have Marchesa on speed dial for the Oscars. My lust item for this month is this fanciful lilac pink orchid dramatic gown from their Spring 2009 collection. I love the subtle Eastern influence of the look with the spray of orchids in the front and the intricate folding down the front, reminiscent of kimono obis. As I have neither the occasion nor the lifestyle to wear a dress like this, I won’t even venture to guess what this gown costs. Instead, I’ll be satisfied if I happen to see this dress appear on some lucky actress on a red carpet coming soon to an US Weekly near me. - joie
THREE. Emilio Pucci Satin Pump — I’ve had my personal stiletto lust list since I was about fifteen…before it was even appropriate to wear such shoes. These days, I add a pair to my list daily and take off a pair (i.e. buy) about every other week. My latest addition are these Pucci bow pumps. They are definately sexier than you classic black shoes – the heel a little spikier, the arch a little highter, and the shape that much more sensual. Plus the bow adds just the right amount of Pucci. At under $500, we will see how long it stays on the list, as purchase definitely looks like a possibility. - perfumed
FOUR. Rosena Sammi Bacha Bracelet — I’m obsessed with the over-the-top decadence of this bangle. The rich gold mixed with the brilliance of the varied colored stones is simply gorgeous! It retails for $275, which isn’t insanely expensive when it comes to jewelry…but still out of my budget this month! - thedailyobsession
FIVE. Diane von Furstenberg Sabra Coat — This DVF Sabra coat is the perfect transition item to take my wardrobe from summer to fall. It’s a classic shape and the camel color means it’ll go with everything – and be just as in style 10 years from now as it is today. I love the cute buttons, and the big pockets make it easy to carry those must have handy items, like the 5 lip glosses I must carry around at all times. At $725, I’ll probably have to find a (much!) cheaper version, but I can still lust after this one from afar… - productwhore

The dress I would only wear if I WAS Anne Hathaway or a princess – the heels are too hight – the bracelet is beautiful – the best is the coat, yay! Thanks, that was fun!
