Two of us live in L.A. and denim is a staple year-round. However, for fall, we’re obsessing over black skinnies and straight-legged pairs. They’re a nice alternative to the traditional blue, which we already pair with our favorite floaty tops…yet they’re just as versatile! Paige Premium Denim always has some great options to choose from, and we’re picking two of our favorite versions for this season:
If you’re looking for a true skinny jean, it doesn’t get much better than the Blue Heights Skinny. It has a 14″ bottom opening. You can alter them for the length of flats, but they’ll look equally good with sky high heels. Our other pick is the Melrose. It’s a straight-legged fit with a 16″ bottom opening, which makes it more forgiving than the Blue Heights Skinny. Despite the fact that they’re on the more narrow side, you’ll actually look very lean due to the dark color and slim lines. Both also have 2% spandex, so you stay nice and comfortable all day!
If you’re looking for work-appropriate items, they also recently launched Paige Black Label. The Black Label has all the great cuts of the original line, but are a bit dressier. One of our favorites is the Portland Pant, which is very Audrey Hepburn-inspired (see Breakfast at Tiffany’s). These would look super chic with ballet flats – and can pretty much work from the work week to the weekends. The Dresden Pant could become a wardrobe staple, as they’re quite sleek and clean. These trousers measure 13″ at the leg opening, so they’re very lean. You can take these right into the night – even for dancing at a club; just change out your accessories and top!
P.S. Lucky, one of our favorite magazines, is launching a new book called “The Lucky Guide to Mastering Any Style – How to Wear Iconic Looks and Make Them Your Own.” Debuting on October 7, it will feature their signature Lucky Breaks and in this section, Paige Premium Denim will be offering 10 shopping sprees worth $1000 each! Through November 20, they’re also donating $1 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure for each entry. Go to www.luckymag.com/breaks to enter!
