Stars in Your Eyes

Another valuable addition to facilitate creating the perfect smoky eye for fall is LORAC’s Starry Eyed Baked Eyeshadow trio.  Featuring three different complementary shades in each compact, each one is a one stop smokey eye look.  I love eyeshadow trios for their simplicity: it is so much easier to carry around one eyeshadow compact to do a touch me up versus three separate ones!

The compact I tried was Rising Star, which features a gorgeous white shimmery neutral eyeshadow, a pearly army green, and dark gray green.  These eyeshadows work well wet (for a more dramatic look) and dry (for a daytime look.)  The colors are shimmery, but not overly glittery in a teen scene type way – and add just enough shimmer to add allure. It really gives your eyes a pick me up.  Best of all, the eyeshadows don’t crease and are long-lasting for a night of partying.

I use the white eyeshadow from lashline to eyebrows as a neutral, layer the army green over the entire lid, and then use the darkest look for just the lashline or the crease.  The graduation of color adds just enough depth around my eyes to make them look bigger and more defined.   This, combined with mascara, has been my easy 2 minute going out night time look for the past few weeks.

I have dark brown eyes, but I think this color combination would look particularly striking on anyone with green eyes (thanks to the slight army color reference) and blue eyes (because of the cool tones in the colors) as well.icon
