Sweet Lime & Cedar

One of the reasons I like Jo Malone so much is that their fragrances are always so unique.  I hate being somewhere and realizing that there are three other women wearing the same perfume that I am, so whenever I’m going to a big event, I always find myself reaching for one of my Jo Malone bottles.  I can already tell that their new scent, Sweet Lime & Cedar, is going to be a front runner in that rotation.

Inspired by the flavors of Thai cuisine, this fragrance stands out for its balance of citrus fruits, flowers and spices.  With top notes including Blood Orange, Passion Fruit and Spearmint, middle notes such as Lavender, Coconut, and Jasmine, and base notes containing Cedarwood and Amber, the first word that comes to mind when I spray it is zesty.  On me, the fruity first impression settles into an exotic, warm balance of citrus and the spicy notes, which linger all day.  It’s definitely different than any other fragrance I’ve tried before. I can’t wait to experiment with layering it with my other Jo Malone scents to create even more scent possibilities.

Get your own Sweet Lime & Cedar for $55 for 1 ounce and $100 for 3.4 ounces.  Jo Malone products are available at Bergdorf Goodman, select Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue stores, and jomalone.com.
