There’s a reason why most women love Chanel so much. Not only are the products amazing, but they just exude luxury. Take their new fall shadows. The fact that each compact comes housed in its own little black velvet pouch makes them seem so chic and glamorous. And the colors themselves are gorgeous! I’ve been all about the dark eye makeup lately and the new Les 4 Ombres Quadra Eye Shadow in Smokey Eyes is the most perfect palette I’ve ever found to create a great look for a night out. With shadows in shades of white, black, light grey and a darker, sparkly grey, you can blend them in a multitude of different ways. The shadows are long-wearing, virtually crease-proof and almost silky in texture, so they never look cakey. At $56, it’s a little pricey, but you won’t have to buy another smoky eye palette all year, so it completely balances out.
If you’re looking for a single shadow instead of a quad, check out the Ombre Essentielle shadows in Platine and Black Star. At $28.50, they’re a little easier to justify (and they boast the Chanel logo imprinted on each color – very fashionable!) Platine is a shimmering white that I’ve been using as a highlighter and Black Star is the most gorgeous shimmering black shade that somehow manages to be both elegant and funky all at the same time.
Whatever Chanel shadow you choose, make sure to finish it off with their new Exceptional De Chanel mascara. The six-sided brush is all about creating volume and thick, clump-free lashes. (And as someone who rubs her eyes a lot during the day, it seems to be fairly smudge proof). It’s the perfect finishing touch to frame your shadow and will make sure that all eyes are on you all night long!
