My Instyler started making popping electrical sounds. It smelled a little like electrical smoke. This was only six months after I bought it. I went to make a warranty claim but Instyler refused to honor the warranty because I bought the unit from Amazon. Honestly, I loved the product until it broke, I probably would have still loved it If they had kept their word and honored the warranty. But now I will tell everyone I know not to buy the product because the product is trash and the company doesn't care about their customers...you would be better off buying a conair from Walgreens.

I had been wanting an Instyler since they first came out on tv, but my mom thought the price was too high, so I couldn't get one. Well I recently got one from walgreens. The price is about the same; I paid $100, plus tax. The price is 'outrageous', as most people say, for just a regular flat iron, but the instyler does more than just straighten hair. It also curls hair, intwo different curling styles, gives body to your hair,nd unlike typical flat irons, it doesnt leave lines in your hair, and it doesnt clump your hair together. Practice, is required to learn how to make the curls correctly but it is still pretty simple, I made pretty decent curls my first try after watching the instructional video that comes with the instyler. Overall, I'd definitely recomend the instyler to anyone in the market for a new straightener. As far as dealing with the company for returns, I haven't had that problem yet because I'm yet to have had to contact the company because I haven't had any problems, but as I said earlier I did purchase mine from walgreens so I guess I'd just be able to return mine to the store however the product comes with a flyer that says not to return the product to the store; to call customer service. But I imagine if the store will take it back, then it wouldnKt matter either way. Hope my review helps you.

I can't comment on the billing because I just received it but if it's quality we are talking about, there is no debate... this tool is AMAZING! I was very skeptical as I have been sucked into infomercials before and nothing has worked. This product delivers! My hair has become very hard to deal with. It's curly ( and not in a good way ) and very frizzy, especially in the winter. I have used a million products, own TWO ceramic straighteners ( which cost over $200 each) and nothing gave me the results that this tool did. I watched the videos online, read the instructions and my hair has honestly never looked like this aside from a blowout straight out of the salon. I LOVE it!! If you are on the fence, get off it now and order. If it works on my hair, it will work on anyones.

I bought the Instyler at Bed Bath and Beyond..I've never had any problem with it. I always use a heat protector cream on my hair before applying any heat to it..blow dryer, etc.. I love this product! Even with my old curling iron I always sectioned my hair off to curl it. I still do with the Instyler..There is a trick to curling your hair with this product. I watched videos on their website and on youtube. The Instyler not only straightens my hair it smooths it out and it feels so much silkier than normal.. I strongly reccomend this product. No electrical product will trip circuit breakers unless there is a problem already in your electrical system. I've never had the Instyler shut itself off automatically. Yes, the product gets hot..but my hair immediately feels cool when I remove the product. It is the best overall hair product I've ever purchased.

OMG!!!LOL!!! I was thinking of buying the instyler from bed bath and beyond ($100.00) but after reading these reviews it can stay right there on the shelf. I have thick wavey hair and I was hoping for a little styling relief from the salon, guess not to Maria from New Zealand keep doing what ur doing. To all those brave souls who own the instyler and all who still want to buy you have my best wishes or condolences.

OMG! u r all scaring me too. I saw the product advertised on TV this morning and thought WOOOOOOT! looks great.......I have long hair that I end up sitting on most of the time because of its length(past my waist and backside...My hair is so thick it weighs almost 1kg....I used to use a hair straightener because it made my hair seem sooooooo much lighter and easier to carry but every time I washed my hair I got my curls back and the weight(and yeah I should cut it but NEH!) Anyway, now I just use a standard clothes iron..lol.....and it works great, can set the temperature to suit my needs and since doing so....no burns, no complaints and my hair remains straight for months(mind you I had been using the iron for a while now) and only takes me 5 mins to straighten my hair.....and yes! I use the ironing board too.....
I wanted to try out the instyler and reading all these reviews has not made it an easy choice for me...the TV ad says 'ring in the next 30min and you can try the product out RISK FREE 30 days and all you pay for is the S&H.....now I dont know if the prices you are quoting are USD or not, but hell! if it is, theres NO Way I could afford it at the exchange rate we have here in New Zealand it would cost me well in excess of $200 plus the S&H.

For now I will just keep using my standard household clothes iron.
