Fusion Facial
There’s nothing better to me than a good facial – you get to relax and get healthier looking skin at the same time. What could be better? When I’m in Los Angeles, I have my staples spas that I can head to any time my skin needs a little TLC, but when I’m traveling or visiting family, I never used to know where I could go for a good facial. And then I discovered Blue Mercury. With spas in states ranging from California to Florida, you’re likely never far from a great place to treat yourself.
While in NJ, I visited the spa in Bridgewater for their most popular treatment, the Fusion Facial. The service lasts 50 minutes and is a modern facial, plus a glycolic peel and a vitamin oxygen blast. It’s a fantastic treatment because it’s like getting three different services in one. The facial cleans your skin and extracts all of the blackheads, etc. that build up over time. Then the glycolic peel makes your skin literally glow and helps to clean off the dead skin on top to reveal healthy, new skin underneath. The final step, the vitamin oxygen blast, gives your skin a shot of pure oxygen.
For those of you who have never had this done before, trust me, it’s well worth it. My facialist did one side of my face and then had me look in the mirror to see the difference in the side that had absorbed the oxygen vs. the side that hadn’t, and it was almost shocking how much better the oxygen side looked. I only wish I could carry around a portable container of it to use it every day! I left my treatment room feeling so relaxed and with skin that was smooth and clean. The perfect end to a long day!

I love this – you can show up early for your treatment and spend the time browsing for lip gloss or eyeshadow or anything else you need from skin care to hair care. (Brands include Bobbi Brown, Dermalogica, Red Flower, Trish McEvoy, among many others). It’s so nice to be able to look for products, and it’s especially convenient when you get a facial because you can easily pick up the products that were used on you and/or ones that were recommended for you. Even if you don’t need a treatment, I totally recommend a trip to your nearest Blue Mercury store for some shopping fun.
