Fate! I was going to take my never-worn Carmen Marc Valvo cocktail dress to the consignment shop, but I wasn’t sure I was ready to say good-bye. This clutch could be the saving grace to the black draped silk dress. And the answer to the obvious question–why haven’t I worn this dress?? It was hiding in the back of my closet behind some fug work pants circa 2001. Zut alors!

That clutch would go amazing with a rocker-chic outfit! this purse would be great with my lilac brocade high waisted mini-skirt. i would pair it with a taupe-colored slinky cami – tucked in. add a few gold bangles – my mom’s antique looking ones – and my fave pair of gold snake skin sky high ankle wrap sandals. to top it off -a messy updo with a few braids. perfect look for a christmas party and the purse can be the stand-out piece. not the usual black dress…and definitely not a red and green sweater! xoxo

love it! the snakeskin makes it a little funky. it’d be great with a festive party outfit, but i’d love to use it as a fun addition to a cotton ribbed tank, dark denim and extra tall stilettos with fun bangles and hoops.

Seeing as how we are renewing our wedding vows NY’s Eve – this would be a PERFECT addition to my gown :) it’s a full length golden cream strapless fitted bodice (think classic 50′s evening gown) and has a sweeping detachable train. The entire gown is embroidered with a deeper cream thread in a swirl pattern (I wanted it to be winter-like). After the ceremony, I can take off my train and go dance the night away!

I’ve only recently gotten into “clutches”, I used them only for special occasions when only the right purse would do. Now I’ve changed my mind! Clutches make a great statement handbag with almost any outfit. This is a beautiful purse and I would carry it on a daily basis, with jeans & boots, with slacks, a skirt, etc.. My “fav” outfit with it would be jeans, a classis button down white shirt, boots, blazer, and a strand of pearls. Why not? It would look great! I don’t own many purses but I do love them and this would be the “crown jewel” of my collection.
