Balancing Moisture

I’m always open to looking for great products for my hair because I have a bit of dilemma: my scalp gets oily while my ends get dry. I spotted Philip Kingsley’s line of hair products in Allure a few months ago and recently, got my hands on bottles of the Moisture Balancing Shampoo and Conditioner. This product works for a variety of hair types from “medium textured wavy hair of any length, with or without chemical or heat processing…also for fine textured, limp or lightweight hair with chemical or heat processing or longer than shoulder length.” It aims to help balance the moisture of the hair and scalp, while leaving locks soft and tangle-free.
Sounds too good to be true, right? Well, this was the perfect solution for my locks. First, I love the adorable bottles with the unusual caps. The shampoo has a pleasant herbal scent and a couple quarter-sized amounts were enough to cover my long hair. The shampoo itself doesn’t products a high lather, though it will definitely get your hair clean. What you really want is the wonderful conditioner though. It is utterly lightweight, yet moisturizes thoroughly. I’ve yet to find a conditioner that fit the “light but moisturizing” bill. After stepping out of the shower, my hair was totally tangle-free and soft. Moreover, my scalp and hair feels more balanced overall; the top is less oily while the bottom is not as dry. This truly helped transform my hair and if you have the same problem as I do, definitely give this a whirl! Available at www.philipkingsley.com.
