Golden Globes 2009
Did you catch the Golden Globes last night? It always seems like such a fun event, with your favorite TV and movie stars mingling (sometimes awkwardly) together on the same red carpet. Here are my favorite looks from last night:

Gotta start with the most Golden girl of the night, one of my all-time favorites, the beautiful Kate Winslet. She donned a strapless YSL that fit her to perfection. It was so much more than just a basic black gown because of the subtle bow detailing and gorgeous Chopard jewels. She also had a very very cute red carpet date clad in Armani!

Brad and Angelina always look so effortlessly glam on the red carpet. We saw a lot of metallic shimmer last night, and I thought Angelina’s beaded silver Versace was among the prettiest. I also liked her Jimmy Choos and gorgeous, loose curls (much better than her ponytail at the Critics Choice Awards).

There were more neutral colors than I had expected, but I thought two particular ladies really stood out here. Penelope Cruz looks gorgeous in an Armani Prive column that complements her petite figure. Laura Linney is amazing in Elie Saab, choosing a delicate pastel that really shows off her fair complexion.

Amy Adams brought the drama in Oscar de la Renta (who else?). I was surprised that my favorite dramatic/bold look was actually in black, but Amy looked spectacular in this number.
Sadly, my perennial favorite Cate Blanchett was not present, and some celebs did let me down in terms of their fashion and beauty choices (Renee, America, Blake, Cameron, Drew, I’m looking at y’all). My honorable mentions to Kate Beckinsale, Jane Krakowski, and Salma Hayak, all in delicious white. Who were your favorites?
