Neil George Everyday

Neil George Salon is a well-known beauty spot in Los Angeles, and recently, I had the chance to try two products from their line: the shampoo, Everyday Cleanse and the corresponding conditioner, Everyday Moisture.  I’ve read good things about these two products from other bloggers, so I was excited to see what it would do for my hair.

Infused with botanicals and orange blossom, the Everyday Cleanse is a paraben-free, yet fragrant shampoo.  There is a distinctive sweetly floral scent that is brightened up with a light dose of citrus. The formula aims to “intensif[y] shine while giving hair a fresh and clean scent.  Gentle enough to be used everyday, it is enriched with moisturizers…to help hydrate dry hair.”  Well, this shampoo delivers all of that.   This moisturizing shampoo provides a good lather and two quarter-sized dollops is more than enough to cover all of my long hair.  I can tell it does a stellar job at moisturizing, because even just after rinsing, my hair felt immediately softer and silkier – and that has never happened before with any other shampoo.

Everyday Moisture provides intense hydration, ”deliver[ing] shine and manageability, leaving hair feeling smooth, luxurious and tangle-free.”  Again, this product is infused with orange blossom, but the scent is less perfumed than that of Everyday Cleanse – probably a good thing since you may not want the scent to interfere with your perfume.  The product itself is a smooth white creme and just applying it to my ends gets rid of any remaining tangles that the shampoo didn’t get rid of.

After stepping out of the shower, I can brush through my hair with a wide tooth comb without hitting any snags or tangles – and truthfully, these products leave my hair so moisturized that I could probably get away without using any styling products (if I let my hair air dry).  I highly recommend giving these products a try!

Each product retails for $22. Available at drugstore.com.iconiconicon
