Estee Lauder Vita Mineral Makeup
When the ladies at Dior informed me that my holy grail foundation was being discontinued, I was devastated. As a beauty editor, its rare for me to stay loyal to any specific product, but my old Dior foundation was an exception. Our relationship started more than six years ago, and it was the one product I was completely devoted to. But when Dior ended our foundation relationship, I had no choice but to get back on the market where I began my incredibly non-monogamous flings with everything ranging from tinted moisturizers to powder foundations. Some were ok. Some were good – very good even, that I’ve ended up blogging about then.
But nothing was really quite perfect for me. Until I met Estee Lauder Nutritious Vita Mineral Makeup. As in real life, a happy new makeup relationship is never quite like the old one. Estee Lauder’s Vita Mineral Makeup is completely different from my old Dior. It’s a different formulation and a different finish, but complements my skin in such a way that is still perfect for me. My old Dior had moderate to heavy coverage with this amazing radiant glow. I felt like I had the most flattering lamp on me at all times. Estee Lauder also delivers a radiant finish, but it’s not artificial. It makes your complexion flawless and lucid, but you don’t even look like you’re wearing any makeup, creating a truly natural look. My face now looks like it’s back lit by sunshine.
Vita-Mineral makeup also delivers an amazing amount of skincare benefits. Perfected by Estee Lauder’s skincare group, the foundation contains pomegranate as an antioxidant, Vitamins C and E to moisturize, and is packed full of minerals to help strengthen skin cells. Not only is it oil-free, it also absorbs oil so you’ll never be caught with a shiny face (this is actually a step up from my old Dior, which left me shiny on a few unfortunate occasions). It’ is also fragrance-free and won’t cause breakouts.
I’m very happy in my new relationship – happy to have found my perfect mate once again. If you’re also on the prowl, I’m happy to share (as long as there’s enough left at the end of the day for me). Pick up one of these for yourself at Nordstrom.com.

This might tempt me when I get rid of my current foundation. I love my Clinique but the one they sold me DOES make me break out. Which stinks, because it makes my skin look so darn good.
