Jewelry, Lust List, Makeup, Shoes, TechLust List: February 2009

ONE. Christian Louboutin N. Prive Slingbacks — Black patent, five inch heels, slingbacks, Christian Louboutin – all things that I long for in a pair of heels! That’s why these Louboutins are perfect for me. They’re gorgeous and would instantly elevate any dress to an entirely new level. They would look fab with a pencil skirt or your sexiest LBD. I’ve probably imagined myself pairing these with everything in my wardrobe. Unfortunately, for a girl who has never spent more than $150 on a pair of shoes, they’re out of reach for now. Maybe someday? - ninabee

TWO. Bang & Olufsen BeoSound 3200 — After I recently purchased my nth replacement iPod, I got really into music again, spending many hours late at night scouring the iTunes for my favorite songs. Now that I have my playlist up and running, I’m searching the net for what will sure be my iPod’s favorite accessory – a sound system.  I’ve always been a Bose girl, but I simply don’t have space for a Wave in my cramped apartment so I went for something sleeker and…flatter.  This B&O BeoSound matches the quality of the Bose while delivering something that’s space-conscious and even more visually appealing.  - perfumed

THREE. Bobbi Brown Brights Eye Palette — Can you believe it?  An item on my monthly most wanted list is something we all can afford. This limited edition Bobbi Brown palette is one that any makeup lover would want to have her arsenal.  Filled with an array of 35 colors, this adorable kit reminds me of a watercolor paint set. It’s just perfect for experimenting and having a bit of fun with your look!  At $70, it’s a bit outside my beauty budget this month, but I might just splurge! -thedailyobsessionicon

FOUR. BCBGirls Rossina Heels — A girl can never have too many heels – especially black ones – and the second I saw these BCBGirls shoes, I knew they would fit perfectly in my closet. The thick straps and silver and gold metallic studs give the shoe a rocker edge, but they’re still classic enough to wear during the day. They’re so versatile, too; I’d wear them with jeans and a cute shirt for a night out with friends, or with my favorite little black dress for a dinner date. They have a 4 1/4 inch heel (which is perfect for me – the higher the better!), but the platform makes them feel like they’re only 3 inches, so I could walk for hours in them. And the best part? They’re only $110, so for once, I’m actually lusting after an item I can actually afford. How very thoughtful of me! - productwhore

FIVE. Cathy Waterman Pearls — For this Lust List, I decided to go for broke by choosing this Cathy Waterman 108 inch strand of pink blush pearls, wrapped in 24 karat gold with a diamond wheat band.  I am absolutely captivated by the iridescence of their silvery sheen.  They say that the sign of good pearls is that they look “alive,” and in this case, these pearls are definitely speaking to me; in their beautiful light pink glow – they almost seem to radiate light!  With 108 inches, this necklace is incredibly versatile, making it well worth the $8,740 dollar price tag.  I picture myself wearing this necklace with a classic shift dress for work, by layering this necklace multiple times around my neck for a 1920’s flapper inspired look.  It could also be wrapped around my wrist as a chunky bracelet, or worn in a modern way with a beautiful white button down shirt, my favorite denim skinny jeans, and heels.   Now, I wonder if I can convince anyone to buy this for me by telling them it is an investment piece… -joie
