Bronze Goddess

Is it summer yet? Well not so much in New York but it will be for me in exactly 5 days when I hit the sandy beaches of Barbados. I’m pretty excited to say the least. To prep for my upcoming trip, I’ve already starting using basically the entirety of Estee Lauder’s Bronze Goddess collection so I won’t look so out of place pasty at the resort and I plan to continue using the line upon returning- to induce maximum jealousy from my coworkers. Below are some of my faves:
Pure Color Gloss Stick in Poppy Orange: Ok I never thought I could pull off a lipstick with word ‘orange’ in its name, but I was surprised how good this color looks with a (soon to be real) tan. It’s more coral than orange and actually gloss in a lipstick tube so it goes on shiny and sheer instead of matte and cakey. The moisturizing properties make my lips so soft. Oh, and it smells really good!
Luminous Liquid Bronzer: A bronzer and highlighter in one, this product does what no powder bronzer can- makes you glow- really glow. Unlike powders also- there’s no risk of streakiness or too much color deposited that you can’t blend away. Just blend with moisturizer to create your own level of color. So far I’ve been mixing it with my favorite foundation just to ease into the look but I absolutely expect direct product to face application after my trip.
Sand & Sea Eye Palette: Those greens and blues just scream warm Caribbean waters to me. If you’re not into wearing those colors on your lids- and I certainly didn’t think I could- try this tip a makeup artist did on me once. Actually use the bright colors to line your eyes (with a slightly wet brush). It will make your eyes pop and deliver an unexpected flash of bright color that is wearable a not a return to the 4th grade. Use the gold shade on the crease and the more muted colors all over to set the look.

I have the Soft Shimmer Bronzer, I got it two years ago, and I’ve still got a huge amount of the stuff left — they give you tons of product in that compact! Best bronzer ever!
