Chanel Hydramax + Active

If there’s one area of my life that I try not skimp on, it’s my skincare routine. So when spring emerges, I look for a new moisturizer that is lighter yet still hydrating. When I discovered Chanel Hydramax + Active Moisture Gel Crème, I realized it was the perfect option. The product is formulated with a “Hydrabarrier System complex…that aids the ‘waterproofing’ proteins and lipids that trap water, helps restore skin’s barrier function and stave off water evaporation so skin’s moisture reservoir stays optimally filled.” What does this all mean? It means that it not only moisturizes, but helps keep your skin hydrates and prevents dryness from occurring.

This pale blue cream has the light, airy texture of a gel, which feels cool and lovely when applying to your face – without the look of a gel or serum. There is a light floral scent, which I quite like (but for anyone who has an aversion to scented skincare products, this won’t be for you). A tiny dab covers your entire face, so even if you get sticker shock from buying a prestige skin cream, this jar will last you a good three months.  The cream sinks in quickly and leaves your face glowy, without leaving it feeling oily.  You do need to wait a minute or so, before moving on to apply sunscreen and makeup though.  I also want to note that my combo skin is actually tricky to tackle, and typically, after trying a product once, I can usually tell if it’s not going to agree with my skin.  This product, however, I could tell was going to be a winner just because of its light texture and high hydration factor.  My skin demands products that strike a balance of being moisturizing, but not over-hydrating – because both can lead to break outs for me.  Typically, at least one big blemish comes up every couple months, but ever since I started using it many weeks ago, I haven’t received a single one yet.  The latter would convince me that I don’t need another reason to become devoted…but the good thing is that there are so many pros about this product, I can love it in its entirety.

I am also very peculiar when it deals with my skin care.
Frankly speaking I am not so used to using Chanel cosmetics(one of the reasons is the price) but I do want to try this product. Now I see that my skin needs deep hydration. Perhaps it needs the Chanel Hydramax + Active Moisture Gel Crème? Let me find out.
