The Most Clever Clip
To date there have only been two hair styling tools that I have found to be so complete and effective at what it claims to do that I’ve deemed I can’t live without either one after trying. The first is the Remington Airwave which instantly made it to many girls top obsession lists according to various boards and blogs. The second is a new product I learned about called the Clever Clip which is hands down, the best tool I’ve ever used for holding my hair in place.
The Clever Clip claims to work regardless of what type of hair you have. Personally, I have thick, smooth hair that never stays held up with a regular clip. My hair texture is also too thick for barrettes which left me no choice but to use an elastic in a pony tail. I couldn’t do any of those cool messy-chic twisty updos or even get my hair to stay out of the way long enough while brushing my teeth! The Clever Clip has not only done an amazing job of instantly giving me more updo options but has made hair a non-issue for me in so many daily activities.
The Clever Clip is a sturdy plastic pin that comes in a variety of colors to suit your taste. You simply twist your hair from a ponytail and then clip it in using the same motion as a safety pin. That’s it- super easy and it stays in place all day (and night) without the slightest slip. There’s no pulling or pinching and I’ve yet to lose a single strand of hair using this product. The site claims that you can also use the clip to do fancier updos but honestly I’m not talented enough to do anything beyond the twist and pin- but for my intents and purposes being able to pin up my hair is one of the greatest thing that’s ever happened to it.
I’ve also used the pin to hold up blowouts while sleeping and make them last a few extra days (no more sleeping with your hair in a bun!) It’s also great to use while blow drying your own hair because strands won’t slip out of the clip and ruin the section you’re working on. I also use the clip when I work out and it does an amazing job of holding every strand of hair in place, away from my face and neck regardless of how high impact my activity is. And finally, I can have a comfortable savasana after yoga class because my head’s not resting on a knot of hair.
The ladies who created the Clever Clip are so sure that you will be as obsessed as I am that they will refund you 100% if you don’t like it. A set of 3 only costs $10 so you can’t go wrong. I am obsessed with my clever clip, too. I got mine a few weeks ago and wear it all the time. It even holds in Bikram yoga. I wear mine with the Sylvia tattle tail..glad to see I am not the only one obsesses with this!!

I too am a believer in the clever clip! I tried it because I thought the many “tattle” styles were cute, but now love it for how well it holds my thick hair. I work late into the evening most nights, and I still can’t believe that I never have to re-adjust the clip all day. It stays put! Thanks clever clip!
I am going to have to try this! My hair is thick and so straight that it’s “slippery”. Most hair ties and pretty much all clips slip right out unless I spray the heck out of it with hairspray (and then it feels gross). This definitely looks to be worth a try. I wonder, though: will it work for shoulder-length hair or does it need to be longer?

I also love the Clever Clip. I am always trying new clips to hold back my curly hair. More often than not they don’t live up to their claims, so I’ve wasted my time and $. Finally, I’ve found a hair clip I can count on! The Clever Clip delivers on it’s promises. It’s so easy to put in and holds my hair back neatly and comfortably all day. The product is awesome and you can’t beat the price. I highly recommend the Clever Clip!
I have to order some of these – they sound great! I have the same problem…my hair is too thick for most clips; I break them regularly. This sounds like something that might really work – I’m really tired of ponytails.

I canot live without my Clever Clip. After I swim, instead of blow drying my hair, I just Clever Clip it. It gives me an instant French Twist up do. I have five on hand all the time..briefcase, gym bag, desk drawer, car and one on my keychain. Whoever invented it is a genius!!! She should go on Oprah.
Does it work with long hair? Like REALLY long hair? Mine goes past my waist, and it’s the eternal struggle for me to find ways to do up-do’s that are easy and hold in place!
My hair is long , almost to my waist, and it is still in!!!! You can also put 1/2 of it up-great way to get it off your face.
The clip is great – and I love that I can have a new look every day with a different tattle! The tattles are great for work and for evenings! I have a bunch of them, and they are so reasonably priced!
My awesome friend Emily gave me a few of these clips as a present a few months ago and I absolutely LOVE them! I work in a kitchen and it is imperative my hair be up all the time, and with the clip I never have to fix my hair! It stays tight the entire 10 hour shift and looks fabulous all the same. This has to be one of my favorite gifts ever! Thanks!!!
I agree – I Love the clever clip! I took them with me on my recent cruise and I wore it every day! I wore it during the day to keep my hair out of my face while snorkeling and walking through Mayan ruins and then, at night, I wore the same clip with a tattle tale to dress up my dinner attire! It’s awsome. I’m lucky enough to live in Maryland where there are several salons that sell the sets (but I’ve checked out the web site and everything I saw is listed there)! I have curly hair that usually becomes unruly in humid weather or after I’ve been in the water. Can you say Frizzy? The clever clip calms my wild hair.
