Butter by Nadia Signature Wrap Dress

The dream dress has arrived in the form of Butter by Nadia’s Signature Wrap Dress: a miracle dress that can be worn in multiple, stylish, body flattering ways as either a dress or a skirt.  While I am not exactly sure of the mechanics of how this dress is cut so that this works, a helpful YouTube video by Nadia demonstrates all of the different ways the dress can be worn, and has solidly made me a believer.

The dress comes in a soft cotton jersey and also in satin, which makes it formal enough to possibly qualify as the holy grail of bridesmaid dresses: a bridesmaid dress that you can actually happily re-wear.  The soft cotton jersey material allows the material to gently hug your curves, and still be wearable throughout the whole day.  My favorite iterations of the dress are this slightly Grecian inspired one shoulder dress or this cap sleeve version, which perfectly accents your waist.

The dress can also be worn as a halter, as a strapless tube dress, or as an open back (check out the website to see all the possibilities.)  The dress also comes in a variety of patterns and a rainbow of colors, so you can choose the hue best suited to your complexion.

At $248, it may seem like a lot to pay for one dress, but $248 for at least 6 dresses, and 1 skirt? According to my retail math, that comes out to roughly $35 for each type of outfit, and a real bargain to me! TDO isn’t the only fan of this dress, as both Lucky Magazine and Time Out New York have mentioned their love of this dress.

You can buy this dress on Nadia’s website here.

Oh my goodness, I just checked that out and want it so bad! It’s one size fits most,(2-16)even maternity! That means I can wear it now (I’m 3 months prego), postpartum, and after I lose all the weight. Genius.

Oooooh I want this! Do you think it would look too long on a shorter girl?

That’s a bit expensive for what amounts to a few yards of jersey.. I’m going to try to make this at home!
