Palette It Up

Who doesn’t love makeup palettes? They are compact in size, and often times multi-task, too. Every girl needs a few palettes in her arsenal, and here are my favorites for the upcoming summer season. For eyes, I love the Limited Edition Bronze Goddess Sand & Sea Eyeshadow Palette from Estee Lauder. The Sea shades are so vividly pretty, and the Sand shades are positively sun-kissed. From top to bottom in the picture on the left, the 6 colors are: Ginger Drop, Tea Biscuit, Gold Nugget, Bronze Cube, Aqua, and Turquoise. They are all so summery, and for $38, you’ll have so many looks from just one palette as opposed to 6 separate eyeshadows. I can’t wait to experiment!

My other palette pick for the summer is a tip I got from the lovely Jenn Falik. Darac Beauty’s Feature Focus is a palette of cream gel makeup that you use to conceal darkness, brighten your face, and smooth away lines. Darac refers to it as a “Face Definer,” and I agree wholeheartedly. Maybe we all can’t spend hours using makeup to contour our faces, but with this palette, you can define your face quickly and easily. It comes with an easy to follow guide on how to apply the different sections of the palette, aptly named Forgive, Forget, and Frame.

Thanks for a well-written article. I think I could use that gel product. I think it would be good to camouflage a fat neck! I use palettes to save leftover or broken lipstick that would ordinarily be discarded and wasted. I also sometimes use those presdcription sorter containers for each day of the week.
