Twinkle Lifestyle

I had always known that I could rely on Twinkle by Wenlan for beautiful, cozy knits and fluttery, graceful dresses, but did anyone else know that Twinkle had evolved into something of a lifestyle brand overnight?  I certainly didn’t, until I visited their website, where I was overjoyed to find that in addition to their normal ready-to-wear, they now also offer bedding, rugs, throw pillows, and a wide assortment of jewelry in the familiar quirky Twinkle aesthetic.

Featuring the full range of bedding with items such as duvets, pillowcases, sheets, to shams, the designs are a blend of funk and luxury, with Shanghai-flower prints inspired by old style cheongsams, updated with brighter oranges and blues for a modern audience.  Other prints include a brown and cream chevron zigzag striped pattern, and other muted flower prints.  For added design flair, Twinkle also introduces gumdrop like polkadots, colorful neon-printed ikat throw pillows, and Andy Warhol-esque prints of her adorable beloved dog, Milan, which are silk screened on on both pillows and rugs.

Twinkle also offers an assortment of fine and costume jewelry, which are whimsical, elegant, and delicate looking  all at once, which is no easy feat (ahem, Erickson Beamon for Target–I wish you had taken notice.)  Fine jewelry show iterations of Twinkle’s fondness for bird motifs, and also some playful pendants of cartoonish bats, cute (but not creepy) ghosts, and unicorns.  My favorite among the fine jewelry collection is the Lovebird Necklace, which is a delicately-wrought gold plated sterling silver chain necklace with a pendant of four interlocking lovebirds.  It also comes with a matching set of sweetly romantic earrings.

The standout for me among the costume jewelry, is the Starry Night necklace, which has already been featured on Lucky magazine as well. A statement making necklace, it interweaves  multiple twisted strands of pearls with chunky, circular and chain link glass and plastic beads.  The necklace looks playful, yet refined, and is even currently on sale for $100.  I love it paired as shown on the website with a open neck white button down.

Visit the Twinkle website to learn even more about this quickly evolving lifestyle brand, including a monthly online feature showcasing all of designer Wenlan Chia’s current favorite obsessions, books about knitting, and newsletters from the fun and cute Twinkle employees sharing everything from cookie recipes to some behind-the-scenes scoop on preparing for their recent NYC sample sale.
