I think we can all agree that as hard as it is to get out of bed in the winter, getting up in the summer is equally as hard for different reasons. (It stays lighter longer, so inevitably I end up staying out later and getting less sleep, so when that alarm goes off, I usually utter some not so pleasant words). One of the only things that can make me a little more eager to throw off the blankets and greet the day is if I know that I’ll be using a product (or two) that I love in the shower. It always makes that first step out of bed a little easier. Right now, the products that are putting a little spring in my morning routine are from BeingTRUE.

The Energy Work Aroma Shower Gel ($26) is the perfect pick me when I step into the shower. It’s made to be hydrating and non-drying, so even those with sensitive skin will find it comforting. (It’s also soap free, which makes it even easier on sensitive skin). It contains Yucca and antibacterial Hops, which help to heal tired skin. (I love this because I feel like my skin is always tired!) White and Green Tea antioxidants are also in the formula to promote long lasting skin health. The formula lathers up super creamy and leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturized. My favorite thing about it is the scent though. Its aromatherapy fragrance is full of Peppermint and other essential oils that wakes me right up in the morning and makes me (at least a little) eager to start my day.

I’ve also been using the Energy Work Active Body Peel ($42) a few times a week. BeingTRUE calls it “a facial-worthy peel for the rest of you” and that’s the best description I can think of. It’s a multi-active resurfacer that I find to be sort of a combination of a shower gel and a scrub. It’s a thick liquid with little scrubby bits in it that you use on dry skin. (This is a fantastic idea, by the way. I never released how much scrub would rinse off of me when I used it in a running shower, but using it on dry skin really lets you cover your entire body without losing any product). As you massage it into your body, it releases Salicylic Microcapsules that help to make your skin look smoother and younger. It’s a very gentle exfoliator that’s perfect for people who don’t like to treat their skin too harshly. The peel also contains essential oils that make it smell great. I seriously went through my entire container of it in about two weeks because I just couldn’t stop using it. (And my skin looks great!)
