Full of Grace

Well dressed ladies everywhere know the fundamentals of a stylish wardrobe: Burberry trench, LBD, and sky high Louboutins. But for a well dressed bedroom, there is also an essential investment, a staple that anchors any boudoir whether your style is Parisian chic or modern minimalist:  simple, luxurious, white sheets.

I recently  made the ultimate grown-up move: I made over my own bedroom with a new set of pristine white sheets from SFERRA, an Italian brand that I had long stalked at ABC Carpet & Home.  My 500 thread count Egyptian cotton set, Grace, is the most comfortable that I’ve ever slept in and having something so elegant actually turns making the bed into a pleasure every morning.  Not to mention, I no longer get into bed without making sure my feet are spotless! Who knew having a nice set of sheets would help me develop such good habits overnight.  The only downside?  I have an even harder time getting up in the mornings now.

The Sferra Grace sheet set retails at $575 for the queen set, an investment surely, but I’ve invested in some pretty painful shoes for more than that and talked myself into buying used handbags for even more!  Not to mention, we spend more time rolling around in our bedding than we do in any outfit we could possibly own! TDO readers are lucky though, because on Monday, Sferra will be giving away one set of Grace Sheets right here on the site.

Sferra linens can be found from dining tables at the White House to the bedrooms of the Vatican. But my personal style is less opulent and more understated,  so for design inspiration, I consulted the web sites of the Thompson Hotel Group and Kor Hotel Group, two properties that exclusively use Sferra in all their rooms. Below are some of my favorite looks of how they styled around the classic white sheets.  Let me know which one you like best!

Viceroy Miami

Tides South Beach

A piece of Heaven…

I like the very first picture actually. Where’s that one from? My second fave is the Maison 140. I could never spend that much on sheets though – it would be a waste of money. I married a manly man who somehow manages to be dirty even when he’s clean.

Kristina- the first one is from the Viceroy in Palm Springs. We’re giving away a set on Monday!!!

I can’t decide from the Viceroy Santa Monica, Maison 160, and 60 Thompson. All are so stunning and distinct!

I actually really like the Tides South Beach
