Sun Reflection
As any good beauty-junkie knows, a little bit of sun is needed to make you truly glow. Capturing that insight and knowledge, Givenchy has come out with some new offerings for their Prisme Again! line to make your complexion look lit from within and your eyes glisten.
For my fellow porcelain skinned people, it’s easy for our complexion, without the aid of some blusher or bronzer, to give off a deathly pallor. To make my skin go from sallow to radiant, I’ve found that a few swipes of Givenchy Prisme Again! Compact Powder Quartet in Happy Sun has been doing the trick, with its blend of matte and transparent light bronze powder. Each quartet comes with 4 subtle varying squares of bronze ranging from the spectrum of light peach, to golden bronzy, with 2 squares holding transparent powder and 2 holding matte powder. With this mixture of peach/bronze hues and transparent/matte consistencies, you get an effortlessly blendable, natural looking powder (that as a plus, smells like a sweet bellini) that makes it look like you spent a few hours in the park on a nice, sunny day.
Following with the sun theme, Givenchy also created an Eyeshadow Quartet with 4 metallics in pale
green, pale silver, pale gray-blue, and gold shimmer. Each metallic is pigment-rich, giving off a glistening “wet” sheen (even while dry) that makes it easy to create a modern, glowy eye that has a lot of dramatic impact. I was especially enamored with the pale gray-blue, which also has a hint of silver. Gray eyeshadow is one of my favorite colors to use for a smokey eye since it isn’t as dark and forbidding as your basic black, but unfortunately, I’ve had to reject many versions by other companies for not being lush enough in color. Not so, with the version by Givenchy, which lasted me a whole night and even into the morning even when I didn’t use an eyeshadow primer.
All Givenchy compacts are space-friendly, fitting into neat, elegant little square, making them easy to fit into the smallest of clutches. Best of all, they are 2 level compacts, so all the tools you need to apply their products are located below, which in this case included eyeshadow wands and a wide face brush.
