Posie Boat Tote
This cheery Harvey’s Posie Tote first started as an overnight/weekend bag, turned into my gym bag,and finally into my daily bag. The bright floral print makes me smile every time I pick it up and the carry all is so big that I can fit all my needs into it. But the genius in this bag isn’t limited to just how pretty it is- I love it because it’s one of the most functional bags I’ve ever carried.
First, the bag is crafted out of recycled seat belts and therefore making it super durable and easy to clean. My bags definitely get thrown around a lot, but this one doesn’t even show it.
Second, it comes with a detachable (or attachable) wristlet/clutch which I use to keep my cards and keys. Since mine is perma-attached to my bag, I know that I won’t ever have to fear anything important falling out.
Third, I do tend to stuff my bag to the rim and then stuff some more- so I love that this has a top zipper which leaves me reassured again that things (like my work shoes) won’t fall out (especially when I’m throwing the bag around).
And forth, the exterior of the bag is beautiful, but what really makes it special are the whimsical drawings that line the interior. Designed by Sujean Rim (of DailyCandy fame), the interior is decorated with cute images of beach and beauty essentials. It’s a private reminder of sunnier days every time you carry it!

cute bag! Do you know of something similar that is in a lower price range? $158 is kinda high for an everyday tote made of recycled materials IMO. Thanks!
Hi Stefania- I don’t! I know they have a slightly smaller bag for $138. Also, anything else that is similar won’t feature Sujean Rim who is the artist behind this piece. My best advice would be to keep checking and see if they go on sale!

Speaking of motoring-themed bags, check out Kim White’s automotive fabric bags. They sound strange but are very nice! http://www.kimwhitehandbags.com/index.html
